French confit pot with double handles in a natural, rustic coloured glaze in very good vintage condition.  Confit pots were made for culinary use and were staples of the French kitchen.  The word ‘confit’ comes from the verb confit, to preserve, and jars were either stored in a cold larder or buried in the ground.  This beautifully unique accent piece is full of inherent character to add history, texture and colour to an interior.  It can be used to store utensils in the kitchen, as a vase for floral arrangements or as a decorative stand alone addition across the home.
