A large antique Italian confit pot from Puglia, Southern Italy, featuring distinctive double handles and warm natural glaze with green speckles. Traditionally used for preserving foods such as anchovies and sardines, as well as figs or olives, in olive oil, this original piece likely dates back to the late 19th century. Rich in rustic character, the jar tells the story of everyday Italian kitchen life from a bygone era. Its timeworn surface, subtle variations in glaze and gently aged patina give it a depth and authenticity that cannot be replicated.

Today, confit pots make striking decorative pieces, perfect as a vase for flowers, a holder for kitchen utensils, or simply as an object of visual interest. Whether placed in a farmhouse kitchen or a contemporary interior, this piece brings warmth, texture and a sense of history to any space.

Central to our philosophy is sustainability and circularity: pieces crafted to last, to be treasured, and ultimately passed on, just as this jar has been for over a century.

Condition: This is a rustic pot with surface marks and a crack on one side from age and use. Some of the glaze has worn off inside the pot but it is structurally sound.

Dimensions: Height: 24 cm, Width 20 cm, excluding handles

Care: We recommend washing by hand for best care.
